Shaykh Yahya Ibrahim
Meet the Speaker
Shaykh Yahya Ibrahim started his knowledge journey with the memorisation of the Qur’an in his teens. He then pursued his studies in exegesis, jurisprudence, and hadith with scholars from the Hijaz and in Egypt as well.
Besides being an international speaker, Shaykh Yahya is the assistant principal and Imam of Al-Ameen College, Perth. He also serves as the Islamic Chaplain at Curtin University and the University of Western Australia and is a part of the Human Research Ethics Committee at St Charles Gairdner Hospital.
His initiatives in Australia and internationally include diversity training, cultural sensitivity programs, educational lectures, and media presentations. In recognition of his valuable contribution, Shaykh Yahya was awarded the West Australian Multicultural Community Service Award for Individual Excellence in 2013.
