On the 1st and 2nd April 2023, Faith Events successfully conducted two classes in the blessed month of Ramadan, and this time with a speaker we are very familiar with; Shaykh Yahya Ibrahim! A well-known speaker from Australia, it is Faith Events’ second time hosting him and it was well-received by our participants! Shaykh Yahya Ibrahim was eager to be back in Malaysia, which he claimed to be his second home. Excited to see the crowd he’s familiar with (and have nasi lemak for suhr), the speaker shared his anticipation for the event on his social media account. Held at Masjid Saidina Abu Bakar As-Siddiq, Bangsar, the topics for the classes were The Morning Will Come: Finding Solace through Surah Ad-Dhuha and Unmasking the Enemy: Guarding Your Soul Against the Devil’s Tactics.

The tickets on the first day were highly sought-after and Faith Events sold out for the first time in the year 2023! Indeed, the impact of Shaykh Yahya Ibrahim is real. There was a high demand particularly for the event on Saturday, as the topic is closer to the hearts of many.
Night will pass, and the morning will come.
The first day was a study of Surah Ad-Dhuha. It was one of the most inspiring talks about finding hope, as Shaykh Yahya went through each verse of the surah, and extracted spiritual as well as practical lessons that we can all implement in our lives. The whole session felt like a warm hug, as Shaykh Yahya eloquently explained the message behind the surah and how it was sent down to console the Prophet (s.a.w.) during his lowest points in life. It was humbling to be shown the things we can learn from the Qur’an, proving its miraculous nature.
All about the devil.
The talk for day two was more uplifting, as we learned about our sworn enemy— the Shaytan. Shaykh Yahya started off by sharing about the stories that led the shaytan to turn into our cursed enemy and how he deviates us from the path of Allah (s.w.t.). Many crucial lessons were gained from this lecture, particularly on protecting ourselves from the deception of shaytan and how we can better manage our own actions, while knowing that the enemy is ready to stray us away.
A Sinner in Jannah: A new book release.
Tertib Publishing released a new book extracted from one of Shaykh Yahya’s past lectures with Faith Events, titled A Sinner in Jannah. His other books, including the best-selling, A Juz A Day, was also available during the event. There was a book signing session at the end of both days, and many participants waited for their turn to have a one-to-one session with Shaykh Yahya himself.
To a meaningful Ramadan.
The events on both days were a much needed spiritual nourishment, especially in the month where we are racing to increase our worship to Allah (s.w.t.). The lessons gained from the classes are definitely something that can be implemented right away, as many of us are trying to improve ourselves in this month. The sessions ended in a way that motivated us to keep striving in the month of Ramadan and beyond, by continuing to follow the light of Allah (s.w.t.). Faith Events hope that many benefited from the session and insha’Allah, to host our beloved Shaykh Yahya again in the future.
