Love is a powerful motivator.

It has been proven from time and time again how love can influence our moral judgement.

Take the love that Yusuf (a.s.) has for his brothers as an example. Even though they were the main cause of his pain and suffering in life, he still forgave them.

We can see this reflected in the verse where Yusuf (a.s.) pardoned them with grace and said,

“There is no blame on you today. May Allah forgive you! He is the Most Merciful of the merciful!”

(Yusuf, 12:92)

This illustrates how much love he still has for his brothers, until it allows him to find forgiveness in his heart. Although we may not realise this unless it touches our souls, love has so much power to transform wickedness into kindness.

Just like a watercolour painting, love comes in several shades. While they might differ, they are still representations of love.
