The problems that we have may lead us to thinking that we are unfortunate, dealing with so much misery and stress. It may have occurred to us how unfair life is and we may even have thought, “Does Allah not love me?”
But the truth is, the more Allah tests you, the more He loves you. Even the Prophet (s.a.w.), the most beloved human being by Allah, has been put in difficulties much bigger than ours. From not having people to believe in him when he was spreading the words of Allah, to having enemies from among his family members—the Prophet (s.a.w.) went through so much, yet he held on to Allah and managed to overcome all obstacles.
The Prophet (s.a.w.) said,
“Whoever is afflicted by anxiety, grief, illness, or hardship and he says, ‘Allah is my Lord without partner,’ it will be removed from him.”

Join Dr. Yasir Qadhi in his upcoming seminar, Diamonds in the Dust: Practical Lessons from the Seerah, as he shares lessons from the stories of the Prophet (s.a.w.) on how to cope with trials in life. May it result in us becoming stronger in facing hardships, and turn ourselves into diamonds, despite the dust.
