Ever since we were born, there’s always been an endless cycle of expectation to the point that we feel restless and overwhelmed. And in our silent days, deep inside, we only wish for these tiring days to finally end.
Somewhere between never-ending responsibilities and endless striving, we quietly wonder: Will things ever get better?
Read up and join us in revisiting the insightful reflections of Mufti Menk, Shaykh Ibraheem Menk, and Shaykh Adnaan Menk from our previous event, Beyond Imagination: Jannah and discover the answer.

Beneath all our worries, each one of us is searching for the same thing. A hope that remains even when everything else falls apart.
Regardless of what we are going through, we are reminded to place our hope only in Allah (s.w.t.), because He alone can bring us out of our difficulties. The solutions we seek may come through people or unexpected doors, but ultimately, it is Allah (s.w.t.) who opens them.
As believers, we are taught to view life differently: whatever reaches us comes from Allah (s.w.t.) and whatever leaves us does so by His permission.
Allah (s.w.t.) reassured the Prophet (s.a.w.) during one of the most difficult periods of his life:
“Your Lord has not forsaken you, nor has He become displeased.”
(Surah Ad-Duhaa, 93:3)
Perhaps the delay we struggle with is not abandonment nor punishment. And perhaps Allah (s.w.t.) is simply preparing us for something far greater than what we can presently see.
In our pursuit of the world, we often tell ourselves that fulfilment is just one achievement away.
One promotion. One house. One marriage.
Yet every destination in this dunya eventually becomes ordinary and soon the heart begins searching and desiring for more again. Perhaps that is why Allah (s.w.t.) created our hearts with a longing that this world can never completely satisfy.
We were never meant to find our final home here.
The Messenger of Allah (s.a.w.) said:
“Whoever asks Allah for Paradise three times, Paradise says: ‘O Allah,
Jami’ At-Tirmidhi, 2572
admit him into Paradise.’ And whoever seeks refuge from
the Fire three times, the Fire says: ‘O Allah,
save him from the Fire.'”
Jannah is not a distant dream and in reality, it is closer to us than we realize.
Many people assume that Paradise belongs only to those with perfect records yet Allah’s (s.w.t.) mercy is far greater than our mistakes. So let us not underestimate our worth in the eyes of Allah (s.w.t.).
You may live with reminders of your mistakes or the scars from decisions you wish you could change but the Almighty is not limited by your past.
The Prophet (s.a.w.) taught us that no one enters Jannah solely because of their deeds, but solely through the mercy of Allah (s.w.t.), and His mercy reaches us through our striving.
So strive sincerely and do what you can the best way possible with the aim for Jannah. A place where there is no fear, no regret, and no separation from those we love.
Most importantly, it is a place where Allah (s.w.t.) is pleased with us.
Perhaps that is the greatest hope of all. That despite all the ways we have fallen short, Allah (s.w.t.) still invites us toward a home that is better than anything this world could ever offer.
And maybe that is enough to keep going. Knowing that we were created for something beyond imagination.
Wallahua’lam.
